Club's Ornament Features New Pond Farm

New Pond Farm will be featured on the pewter ornament created annually by the Redding Neighbors & Newcomers Club. Located on 102 beautiful acres in West Redding, New Pond Farm serves the community through its environmental educational programs. As one of Redding’s treasured jewels, New Pond Farm (www.newpondfarm.org) is committed to connecting people to the land. This is the club's 14th ornament honoring Redding. Graphic designer Wendy Andersen creates the design and then Woodbury Pewter Company turns her artwork into an ornament perfect for holiday collections and gifts.

The club has highlighted many of Redding's major events, familiar landmarks and renowned personalities. Designs have included: Redding Established 1714 (1992); Two Deer (1993); The Town Gazebo (1994); Congregational Church (1995); Israel Putnam (1996); Mark Twain (1997); Purchase 1st Land in Redding by John Read (1998); Joel Barlow 1754-1812 (1999); Umpawaug School (2000); Christ Church Episcopal (2001); Sacred Heart Church (2002); St. Patrick Church (2003); Redding Elementary School (2004) and Mark Twain Library (2005).

Ornaments are for sale for $10 each at town hall, the Mark Twain Library, and other town events or by credit card through the club's Web site at www.reddingneighborsandnewcomers.org. In addition, ornaments will be sold at New Pond’s Harvest Festival on October 14th.
