Well, the holidays have come and gone but I know my friends in the Cooking Club recall some of the holiday highlights by mentioning new dishes they feasted on that are from our very own club! In fact, Julie delighted us all by telling us she made Rebecca's Nutsnacker for three family gatherings because it was such a huge success in both presentation and taste!
This past week, we enjoyed a variety of crepes both sweet and savory while learning the easy technique of making them. Some members brought their dishes completely assembled while others brought different fillings to share. At the event, we made savory herb crepes, cornflour and basic crepes. Then for dessert we made sweet whole wheat and chocolate crepes. Once again, a success and delicious event!
Please keep checking back with us over the next couple of months. Thanks to to a wonderful new member and volunteer, we will be arranging our recipes so that they will be easier to locate on our website. Hope you find this helpful as I know many times it is difficult to find that recipe or remember who made it!
The Cooking Club has become a night we all look forward to where we share not only food but great ideas for meals, cooking tips, ingredients and just enjoy each other's company. I hope you will join us to share food and friendship at one of our events this year!
Thanks for your interest and support in the Cooking Club. We look forward to seeing you at our next event!
Happy Cooking,
