French Onion soup – Beaujolais Nouveau This is a very light red wine but it is flown in for Thanksgiving and is overpriced through the end of November. If you wait until the boat shipment gets here around the 5th of December the price will be lower.
Steak au Poivre - Cote de Rhone for the $10 range – Gigondas for a moderately priced wine or Chauteauneuf de Pape(my favorite but more expensive)
Dessert - Muscat Beaumes de Venife or Banyuls (French equivalent to port – may or maynot be in by December 5th)
Recommended Cheeses:
Soft rhine cheese like camembert or brie, a goat cheese and a blue.
We enjoyed Vachern Du Jura that evening that was purchased at Zabar's in NYC.
