Chocolate Carmel Brownies

Ingredients:

1 bag caramels

1 pkg German chocolate cake mix (any choc cake mix will do)

1 - 5oz can evaporated milk, divided

2/3 cup margarine or butter, melted

1 - 6oz pkg semi sweet chocolate chips

1 cup coconut

     
Directions:
Heat oven to 350.  Melt together caramels and 1/4cup of evap milk on medium heat (keep warm).  Mix cake, margarine, and remaining evap milk.  Spread half of the cake mixture (1.5 cups) into an ungreased 13x9x2in pan.  Bake 6 min.  Sprinkle choc chips and coconut over baked layer.  Drizzle caramel.  Drop remaining dough by teaspoonfuls onto caramel layer -- spread evenly.  Bake 15-20 min.  Cool completely.  Refrigerate until firm.  Cut.
