The Redding Garden Club began in 1964, a civic minded group that speaks to the commitment, past and present, to preserve and protect the beauty of Redding, and much much more.
Some activities are:
-Supervising over a dozen garden sites in town
-Providing flowers to seniors and hospice patients
-Annual community plant sale
-Arbor Day program at the elementary school
-Annual scholarship award to local residents for horticultural/environmental studies
-Donations of Plantings, benches, and more to schools, firehouse, police, and many community places
-Raising awareness of CT invasive plants
-Variety of diverse monthly lectures
-Frequent field trips
-Annual Holiday Boutique

EVENT: Saturday, November 4 (2006), 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., RGC's Fall
Holiday Boutique Craft Sale, at the Redding Community Center.
Many handmade craft items will be on sale: holiday ornaments, wreaths,
handknit scarves, dried floral arrangements, Audubon items, canned
foods and baked goods. All proceeds go towards the garden club's civic
